Win a tube of Zanfel Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Wash in Washington Gardener Magazine Reader Contest

For our February 2014 Washington Gardener Magazine Reader Contest, Washington Gardener is giving away tubes of Zanfel Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Wash (prize value $40).

Zanfel® Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Wash (http://zanfel.com/) is a safe and effective topical solution for poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. After using Zanfel®, the itching and pain are the first things to be relieved, usually within 30 seconds. Zanfel has a 10-year shelf life.

To enter to win a tube of Zanfel, send an email to WashingtonGardener@rcn.com by 5:00pm on February 27 with “Zanfel” in the subject line and in the body of the email, please also include your full name and mailing address. 1. I work for Tec Laboratories Inc., we are the makers of Tecnu Original Outdoor Skin Cleanser and Tecnu Extreme Medicated Poison Ivy Scrub. Both products are effective in removing urushiol oil, making the statement in this promo untrue: "...the only known product to remove urushiol." It's only right to make sure folks have all the (correct)facts!

  4. I work for Zanfel Laboratories Inc, we are the makers of Zanfel Poison Ivy, Oak & Sumac Wash. To clarify, Zanfel is the ONLY product clinically shown to remove urushiol from the skin, anytime after outbreak of the rash, while providing itch relief in 30 seconds. Two randomized, placebo controlled, double blind studies of Zanfel (not done by Zanfel, but by the emergency medicine program at St Lukes Med Ctr in Bethlehem, PA) showed that Zanfel reduces itching and contact dermatitis when used on a urushiol induced rash. Company reps can make all kinds of claims about their products. I am not aware of any other urushiol removing product who's claims are backed up by an evidence base like that which Zanfel has. Your right Caileen, its great to make sure folks have all the (correct) facts!
